Die Demut selbst aber ist nichts als das sich stets mehr und stärker Kondensieren des Lebens in sich selbst, während der Hochmut ein stets lockereres Gestalten und sich ins Endloseste hin auseinander Zerstreuen und am Ende nahe gänzliches Verlieren des Lebens ist, was wir den zweiten oder geistigen Tod nennen wollen.
